Course Completion

The entire course takes about eight weeks to complete. Each week’s segment includes educational content, personal goal commitments, as well as activities and/or challenges to help build relevant health habits. Course access remains available until you access all week’s material. There are no assignment deadlines. You can work at your own pace. There is no official pass or fail for GoaLLean courses. However, you must complete review of all weeks’ material and related assignments (quizzes and tracking tasks) to receive a Certificate of Completion. If the course is not completed by the intended eight-week schedule, access to the course closes sixteen weeks after your date of enrollment. 

What to Expect of Weekly Segments

GoaLLean! Why Weight? is an eight-week course with access to sessions made available one week at a time. Full course content is not available at once. This strategy helps you to practice what you learned and complete weekly commitments with a focus on one goal and one week at a time. As with anything you want to achieve or change in life, you are going to have put in some work. Individualized activities allow you to make weekly goals your own. Each week, your GoaLLean sessions are designed in a manner that will hopefully make your work easy, fun, and fulfilling.

Education and Evidence-Based Information

Each week starts by first helping you to understand the science, physiology, and concepts surrounding each week’s topic(s). Evidence-based information and/or education developed by our licensed clinicians after decades of practice will ensure credibility to all that you learn.

Goal Development and Focus

To accompany the content that you learn, and to help you put what you learned in action, you will establish your own goal(s) for the week. Each week means a new week’s goal. To maintain focus and build habits, personal goals are created only for the week, not the entire course.

Accountability Activities

You will be assigned and/or will self-assign a set of accountability activities each week. These are practices aimed at encouraging your commitment and accountability for reshaping your habits. Research suggests that completing accountability activities as planned boosts morale and enhances adherence. You should also see progress toward your personal goals.

Progress Tracking and Journey Journaling

In addition to setting weekly goals and assigning accountability activities, each week includes “Why Weight” activities, “Simple Success” tips, and “Journey Journal” tracking. Each week’s deliverables include individualized instructions and opportunities to make everything your own.

GoaLLean Workbook Updates

Mark the progress you made over the week. Record your successes and challenges. Keep tabs on everything about your GoaLLean journey. It only takes a few minutes. As you see weekly progress, you will agree that 10-15 minutes were worth helping you learn more and lose more.
